Jeff Ashmead’s career as a government trapper, gunner and pilot spanned over three decades for U.S. Wildlife Services in the state of Idaho.  He has trapped or snared numerous depredating animals including Fox, Coyote, Bobcat, Black Bear, Mt. Lion, Beaver, Skunk, Raccoon and Wolf.  Part of his duties included making and repairing equipment for himself and other employees in his department.  Over the past 33 1/2 years he has made thousands of snares used for Coyote, Fox, Beaver, and Wolf, and foot snares for Black Bear and Mt. Lion. 

     For Jeff’s hard work, consistency, dedication and forward thinking solutions he received superior ratings on job performance while working for Wildlife Services.  In the course of his job he “trapped” thousands of documented target wildlife animals.
